MAGAZINE RE-DESIGN

BIRMINGHAM PERSPECTIVES MAGAZINE

Birmingham Perspecitives magazine came to university and asked for the assistance of an editorial designer to help rebrand their magazine.

Their designs were tired and out dated and had no real sense of design. Every page just seemed to be a cluttered mess, which was a shame as it is a very historic magazine and a historic part of Birmingham.

These are a few examples of the re-brand concept that I created for Birmingham Perspectives magazine. The designs gave the magazine an entirely fresh appeal and feel for the consumer, bringing the design up to date with other editorial publications.  As the magazine is aimed at the slightly older population of Birmingham I made the body text a little bigger than I would usually and used a very clean format to avoid the previous problem of cluttering.
